Judicious use of an accent color can lend your home a more refined exterior scheme. It's a choice that works well with classic home styles, particularly because it doesn't overpower their traditional forms. This home, which deftly matches a deep green-gray with a lighter tone, also relies on an orange-red hue found in the copper roof accents and repeated on the wood front door. That tone carries over onto rooflines and side doors to provide a continuing color line for the eye to follow.
The ability to see the exterior paint colors before you paint can save you a lot of time, money, and hassle especially when it’s time to sell. Take the guesswork out of finding the right one for your home using the paint color visualizers above. Whether you plan to do the work yourself or hire a professional, these virtual tools will ensure that no matter how the job gets done, the results are pleasing and sparkling.   House Paint Color
To make your kitchen feel airy and fresh, choose a shade of green. From soft sage to avocado green, this uplifting hue works well in any kitchen. You can also choose a white wall to pair with vibrant clover green cabinets or mint green tile backsplashes.   Other colors like canary yellow, blood orange and cayenne red give your kitchen a lively feel.
Light and easy warm greens, yellows and blues can make your home appear larger. Using the warmer tints of color themes with a simple white trim visually brings the home closer to the curb to make your home stand out in your neighborhood. Once you’ve selected a basic color, it’s easy to create many different and warmer versions within the same family. All you need to do is combine that color with a neutral in order to make it warmer or cooler, lighter or darker. This is known as tint and shade. Tint is lightening a color by adding white. Shade is darkening a color by adding black. Check out this resource on how to choose paint colors.
Such a great and useful post. When my husband and I bought out first house (we’re now on #5), we instinctively (but not deliberately) worked our entire decor around a wallpaper we fell in love with (and used in our entry/hallway). In our second house, we didn’t do that and everything always felt kind of disjointed. We finally figured out why it’s important to have a starting point and to consider how things will work together. Not that everything should be matchy matchy but everything should feel cohesive. My only exception is bedrooms – especially when you want to give kids a say in their spaces. I am so enjoying all of your new house updates and can’t wait to see how it’s all come together at the end. Denver House Paint Color

While you might think millennial pink is just a trendy hue, it has actually been around for a long time when it comes to home exteriors. Probably the best example is the Victorian style, where the soft hue is a gentle but effective way to highlight the intricate gingerbread trim all around the house. Ideal for setting off the lines of a craftsman home, it’s also found on beachside bungalows and in brick form on other homes. Denver House Paint Color
Cool gray siding fashions an easy-on-the-eye exterior that benefits from warming touches of paprika red. The spicy red highlights the roof peak, outlines windows, accents the front door, and defines the porch trim. White pops up as window sashes to bring dimension and brightness to the facade. Use rich exterior house paint colors with a touch of sheen to give your home been-around-awhile character.

"The key to selecting the right gray is to focus more on the undertone of the color and the lighting in the space rather than the chip itself," says Cyndy Aldred, the blogger behind The Creativity Exchange. "In darker rooms, grays take on a warmer tone and transform the atmosphere." She also notes that if a room has an abundance of artificial lighting, gray walls can shift and appear green to the eye. In some ways, red is actually a traditional color choice: Think red barns and brick homes. One thing is for sure and that is that red is an energetic color, however it also signals warmth and comfort. These are both qualities that are desirable in a home, so don’t hesitate to paint your home red. Of course, we’re not talking lipstick red. There are many shades of red, ranging from those with a rusty brown undertone to hues that tend more toward orange. House Paint Color Denver CO
The word sanctuary likely resonates with many individuals nowadays, in light of the ongoing global pandemic. The hues included in this palette are inspired by nature and biophilia, as well as the concept of nesting and the paler tones that are often associated with Scandinavian design. For instance, the quietness of Pure White (SW 7005) is designed to encourage slowing down and taking respite, while Oakmoss (SW 6180) and Urbane Bronze (SW 7048) are warm and inviting. “The Sanctuary palette is about being rooted in peace, so it’s the ideal palette to help create a safe haven at home,” Wadden notes. “During this unprecedented time, less is more. We’re experiencing a pause that’s called us to be mindful of how we’re living.” House Paint Color Denver CO

If your dream is a white farmhouse-style home, follow the lead of Wendy Durnwald of the lifestyle blog, Life on the Shady Grove. For her "pretend farmhouse," as she puts it, Wendy sought out an elegant white that would steer clear of sterile and dull. After all, for an active property filled with five children and many sheep, things are not boring at all. She chose a soft, warm, and rich white exterior paint color: Sherwin-Williams Roman Column.
Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore gets the vote of interior designer Ariel Okin, based in New York City. "Gray Owl is a beautiful true gray through and through. It's not too green and not too blue, and it hits the right balance between warm and cool," she says. "I particularly like it in bedrooms for a clean and monochromatic palette of creams and grays." When it comes to exterior color schemes, there's something to be said for tried-and-true combinations. This classic abode might look out of place with any palette other than warm beige for the siding and bright white around windows and on rails. Look to exterior light fixtures for adding complementary materials or colors. On this exterior, the dark bronze lantern-style sconces balance the home's symmetry, with a pair flanking the doors on all three floors. House Paint Color Denver CO
Absolutely perfect for craftsman style homes, hues of sage and olive are a great choice for your home’s exterior. This nature-focused color not only feels, earthy, but it also creates a feeling of tranquility and health. Whether you choose a light shade or a dark one, avoid choosing a grassy green or other shade that blends too seamlessly with the yard and trees, which can make your house disappear into the landscape. Tudor-style home exterior paint jobs are characterized by one thing: dark trim against a lighter field wall color. Heidi Nyline of Warline Painting, in Vancouver, British Columbia, notes that these browns and blacks are a shout-out to the Tudor's historical past when the trim was made of natural wood that had been oiled and darkened over time. What really wins the game, though, is the zesty red front door that beckons owners and visitors alike to visit this gorgeous property.
Senior Color Designer, Sue Kim of Valspar, believes 2019 will be all about high-intensity shades that mimic artificial light. “Smart technology in the home is driving the color experience differently,” Kim said. Twilight Mist from Valspar is a blue-lilac hue that pairs well with ultra white. Choose the right paint color, for inside and out, with these tips. Denver House Paint Color

Chicago-based interior designer Jean Stoffer turned to Benjamin Moore's statement color Englewood Cliffs when creating a sitting room for her clients. Stoffer says it was the ideal choice to coordinate with the new decor and offer a respite from the adjacent open-concept kitchen, dining, and living space. "We love the depth and dimension that Englewood Cliffs paint adds to the space," Stoffer says. "The undertones play nicely with the velvet emerald sofas and highlight our favorite antique brass details throughout the room. This gray creates beautiful movement and interest, which is why it's one of our favorites!" Denver House Paint Color
